Because of that, I am only requesting an OPTION to exist so that you can disable auto-scroll. There is a large part of the Discord user base who never use such bots, who would rather use auto-scroll in such a manner. Obviously, my complaint is very subjective. If I’m reading an article or just answering to a post, it will remember. It will refresh only if I’m on the home page, my diary, scrolling news and contacts. However, if even the slightest portion of that embed is in view, Mudae is having problems or delay with reacting and you happen to want to go up to respond, you will be FORCED BACK, making you suffer disadvantages just because of the way the app was built. It will still refresh when you go back into the app and 'start' a new session so you lose your place, be it in an article you were reading or a comment thread. In my experience, as a typical weeb, I play the Mudae bot which reacts to messages which are pretty tall image embeds. If someone chooses to scroll up to view older messages while something is ongoing, the newest update makes it nearly IMPOSSIBLE. Some(or maybe even many) bots offer games that you could play, which often revolve around reactions and editing messages.
The reason this is annoying is because this change DESTROYS bot experience. I've seen many users complain about the fact that now auto-scrolling doesn't happen if you're out of focus and, this is annoying too and I would want it fixed, but this post isn't about that. Are currently at the very, very bottom of the chat and someone messages while the app is in focus. Have a message in view that gets edited or reacted to(?!)ģ. The auto-scrolling was switched so that you only auto-scroll(to the very bottom) on either of these three occasions:Ģ. Discord would auto-scroll you to the bottom if you haven't loaded/entered another set of older messages in history, I think, but since the newest update, this has become a lot worse(also for me). For a long time, auto-scrolling to the bottom was annoying(for me), but not TOO annoying.
